CURRICULUM 2013

Our school year started the beginning of February.  This is our curriculum list for now, more thoughts and details will be in separate blog posts.  Of course this changes as I find new stuff! Since this is officially our first year of home schooling I have had a bit of fun with selecting curriculum and finding what works for us. 



HUNKY MONKEY - YEAR 5

Math Singapore Maths and imaths
Language Arts IEW SWI level A (Institute for Excellence in Writing Student writing intensive), All about spelling, wordly wise, Michael Clay Thompson Grammar level, First language Lessons, Copywork from Homeschooling downunder, Growing with Grammar.
Science Apologia Human Anatomy and Physiology, Building Scientific foundations of understanding.
History Our Australian book traveller with map journaling from homeschooling downunder and Our sunburnt country with note booking , My place series.
Ancient History Story of the world Volume 1
Geography Evan Moor Geography as well as going though the Usborne Geography encyclopaedia
Art External Art classes once a week, Lapbooking famous artists and Composers
LOTE Currently French but possibly Indonesian and/or Latin in the future
Logic/critical thinking Building thinking skills from critical thinking co.
Silent Reading  Classic starts series, Enid Blyton's secret seven

Language Arts IEW PAL writing (Primary Arts of language), All about Spelling, Wordly Wise, Handwriting without tears, First Language Lessons
Science Real Science Odyssey - Life and Building foundations of Scientific understanding.
History Our sunburnt country and living books
Geography Evan Moor Geography as well as going though the Usborne Geography encyclopaedia, Expedition Earth
Art Usborne 1000 things to make and do. Lap booking famous artists and Composers
LOTE Currently French but possibly Indonesian and/or Latin in the future
Logic/Critical thinking Lollipop Logic
Silent Reading - Aussie Bites, Juliet nearly a vet, Bobby B Brown and Enid Blyton books.

Family Read a louds Currently anything Enid Blyton (adventures of the wishing chair, Faraway tree, etc.)
